Bluewell
United Methodist Church is a friendly, growing congregation of Bible
believing Christians. Serving Bluewell, Bluefield WV, and Bluefield VA MapQuest:
Maps: map. The congregation is one of West Virginias Churches of
Promise. It is an active congregation providing many opportunities for
learning, fellowship, and spiritual growth. The church is located in
Mercer County, West Virginia.
Bluewell
United Methodist Church offers Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 AM, the
worship service starts at 11:00 AM our United Methodist Youth meet at
6:00PM each Sunday. Our Midweek Bible Class meets at 7:00 Wednesday
evening. There are many other groups such as United Methodist Women,
United Methodist Men, The Woman's Club, The Lions Club and Weight
Watchers that call our church home. The Chancel Choir is very active and
invites everyone to join in the fellowship and singing. Each month our
United Methodist Men and Women's groups meet for fellowship and spiritual
refreshment. Our senior members meet each month for fun and fellowship at
the XYZ Club. Small group ministry is our emphasis for the new year, new
groups are being formed and you are welcome.
The
Bluewell United Methodist Church is famous for it's apple butter. Each
year during the apple harvest the church comes together for two weekends
of fun fellowship good food and hard work. The final result is several
thousand jars of our very special apple butter. The Bluewell United
Methodist Church is also famous for its good cooks, and we use them as
much as possible. We even make up excuses to eat together.
The
staff of Bluewell United Methodist Church is comprised of : Senior Pastor:
Reverend Samuel O. Cale III and Administrative Assistant Marilyn McKinney. Nancy Zaborsky is our Nursery Worker
and Custodian. Dorwin Byrd is the Director of Music and organist, Mickey
Riley is our pianist, and Lani Crane is our Choir Director.
